Story Line

The movie starts with a scene from Annabelle, which is also a movie based on true events about Ed and Lorraine Warren ( actors: Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga ), famous American paranormal investigators. Their reports also inspired Amityville Horror.

The actual movie Conjuring is about young couple Roger and Carolyn Perron (actors: Ron Livingston and Lili Taylor) and their five daughters, who moved to a new house.

Soon all kind of weird things start to happen.

All clocks stop at the same time, the dog dead, strange shadows, slamming the doers...

After all those strange thing in the house, Carolyn (the mother) decides to contact paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren.

The Warrens conduct an investigation of the house and conclude that the house is hunted by evil entente.

Soon after that Carolyn gets possessed and Ed decides to perform the exorcism hem self without the authorization of the church.

Review

The Conjuring is a decent horror movie in which a family falls into supernatural terror with yet another hunted house with all kind of paranormal and supernatural things going on, as seen in the pioneer of this horror sub-genre The Exorcist. (Lil Taylor - mom, studied The Exorcist (1973) to prepare her self for the role.

Based on real events, in fact Lorraine Warren and Andrea Perron served as consultants to the director James Wan, they both claim that the movie is accurate to the real story.
